Afroditi Bitzouni was born in Greece (1986) and is currently living in London.
She has graduated from University of Aegean, Product and Systems Design Engineering Department (5 – years
Bachelor), and Glasgow School of Art, Animation Department (Master of Design).
Her works are driven by cross-cultural content. Her aim is to keep creating a playful visual reality by observing the details of everyday life and by not following conventions. She likes to find out about the potentional conbinations of ordinary odjects, in order to create meanings.
Since 2005, she has been working as a freelancer on the field of animation, digital storytelling, filmmaking
(director, editor, cameraman), wall painting, graphic designing and 3D modeling.
She has participated to Athens Video Art Festival, LPM (Live Performers Meeting), Athens and Epidaurus Festival, International Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, International Platforma Video Festival8, Animasyros 1.0 (International Animation Festival), React Festival and some of her animated films were presented in British Council’s “Living Together Congress”.
